The Switch

For years I have been a faithful Canon shooter.  I started with the original EOS Rebel in 1985, upgraded to the Digital Rebel in 2001 and have owned an XT, XTi, 50D, 5D Mark II, 70D, and lastly a wonderful 5D Mark III.  But recently I have been feeling like my gear was getting a bit long in the tooth.

Enter the Sony A7 series mirrors full-frame wonder triplets – the A7, A7R and A7S.  I will elaborate on the differences between these models in future posts, but the technology and the image quality is the main reason I made the leap form a Traditional DSLR to a Mirrorless kit.

There have been some pain points – which I will elaborate on in the future – as well as some surprises – that I will also cover.  But all in all, I am excited about photography and videography again!
